Riverwalk Map
Greybox level made in Unity ProBuilder

Overview
This project was created in Unity ProBuilder for a multiplayer shooter and party game that my friends and I are currently developing.
The map was inspired by the real life location of the Savannah Riverwalk, but since the player size is intended to be 4-8 per match, the map is scaled down heavily from its real life counterpart for gameplay purposes.
The area accessible for gameplay is roughly 120 x 88 meters, with various changes in elevation.
Gameplay
Because Riverwalk was developed as a map for a party game, it heavily encourages fast paced gameplay. This can be seen in the fact that several rooftops are accessible, allowing a site-line advantage, but also making the player extremely vulnerable to attacks from any direction.
While there is plenty of cover and site-line blockers in all areas of the map, the majority of it is opaque and cannot be fired through. This allows the player to get a temporary shield, but stops them from spending the game hiding behind it.

Looping Routes
Another design choice was a lack of dead ends, every path, room, and section has multiplier ways in and out, heavily discouraging camping while also allowing freedom of movement from players as they maneuver the map.
The bottom elevations have multiple ways to climb to higher areas, without necessarily opening themselves up to being seen.
Interconnection
The map features multiple ways to climb into, and onto buildings, as well as many shortcuts that open flank-routes onto enemies. The map is meant to connect into itself, with no hard-set paths. The game is meant to be fast. The movement fast, the respawns fast, and the combat fast.

Game Art
The various textured models throughout the map were used as stand-ins for communicating design choices. Many of them, such as the trees, are in the wrong art-style and would not be used for the final game. However all textures and models shown were created by me.
